Sherut Habitachon Klali (Shabak). Founded in 1948 with the Israeli declaration of independence. The equivalent of the FBI in the USA. In charge of counterespionage and counterterrorism in Israel. It is also responsible for various internal security affairs such as protection of dignitaries, government officials and various ‘sensitive’ buildings.
