Education

The IICC views education as a quintessential task for Israelis as well as the Diaspora Jewry, since the history of the Israeli intelligence services is an integral component of Jewish history and the history of the State of Israel.

Public Education

The AFIICC has and continues to hold informative and commemorative events on various missions of the Israeli intelligence services, lectures, and webinars. While most of those events, in the past, have been held in Hebrew, some are in English or with an English translation and can be found under Videos. We plan to hold more events in English in the future that will be advertised on our website.

Engaging Youth in Israel’s Intelligence Experience

Among its key functions, the IICC is an educational center for Israeli Youth – particularly youth from the country’s periphery (geographical and social). Each month, the IICC sponsors visits of many hundreds of students to the Center to participate in the Intelligence Experience – a multi-faceted educational program, giving youth a first impression and impacting the legacy, history and lessons of the Intelligence Community.

Every visit to the center begins in the 145-seat auditorium and starts with a short movie reviewing Israel’s intelligence heritage and security situation.

The Center also hosts Jewish and non-Jewish, local and foreign groups of all ages, who wish to learn about the legacy of the Israeli Intelligence community to gain perspective into Israeli security concerns. A typical visit includes a tour of the “Commemoration Maz” and listening to veterans of the Intelligence Community telling personal stories of missions in which they were involved. They visit the Intelligence Heritage and the Terrorism and Incitement exhibitions and watch the multi-media show “The Power of Knowledge” dramatizing how Israeli’s Intelligence Community manages current threats.

These “Intelligence Experience” events can be held in English and are now offered to Jewish youth from the diaspora who visit Israel on trips organized by various Jewish organizations or privately.

Visiting The Center

A visit to the center, which is free and open to everyone, is a transformative experience, highlighting the contributions of the Israeli Intelligence services to not only Israel but also the western world. For further information about the IICC, please visit www.iicc.org.il
